Radovan Arezina, the mayor of Kladovo, and Ljiljana Matovic, head of the Department of Property Affairs of the Republic Property Directorate, have signed an agreement to transfer public property rights of the Republic of Serbia over the military complex Luka Tekija in Tekija to the municipality of Kladovo.
This complex comprises a dock and a land covering a surface area of 1 hectare and 28 ares. The value of this agreement is RSD 6.412 million, which will be paid by the local self-government over the next five years.
Kladovo Mayor Radovan Arezina says to eKapija that this land will be offered to tourism investors in the future.
- By purchasing the port in Tekija, the Kladovo municipality has protected a part of the Danube's banks from illegitimate use. We believe that the Danube's banks (92 kilometers of river banks belong to the municipality of Kladovo) should be used only for the purpose of developing tourism as the primary development goal of our municipality - says Arezina.
