First Air Serbia plane landed at Belgrade airport

Air Serbia's first Airbus 319 plane landed October 19th at Nikola Tesla Airport in Belgrade.

The airplane landed at the airport some time before 1 PM, escorted by two MIG 29 aircraft of the Army of Serbia.

The visual look of this airplane is such that its tail features a stylized coat-of-arms of medieval Serbia with two-headed white eagle.

This modern logo featuring a two-headed eagle has been designed using the combined elements of Miroslav's Gospel and Dusan's Code.

Air Serbia officially starts operations October 26th, when it plans to operate a flight to Abu Dhabi.

Serbian First Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic announced that the first aircraft of Air Serbia would fly off the groun in exactly seven days. Vucic said that they would use a state-of-the-art plane whose interior was better looking than those of the planes of the world's most famous airlines.

The Serbian government signed a strategic partnership agreement with Etihad Airways on August 1st, which secured a 49-percent stake in the Serbian flag carrier to the company from the United Arab Emirates.
