Nectar is going to process another 30,000 tonnes of various raw materials - fruits and tomato, by the year`s end, thus increasing the total quantity of raw materials processed in 2013 to 100,000 tonnes, Nectar CEO Cedo Praska told Tanjug news agency today.

- We plan to boost our capacity next year, which will definitely lead to an increase in the total quantity of raw materials for processing - said Praska.

Raw materials are processed in five locations - in Backa Palanka, Vladicin Han, Arilje, Skopje, and Ajdovscina. These raw materials are used to produce various semi-finished products, including fruit concentrates, frozen fruits and aseptic fruit mashes.

These semi-finished products are partially used in the company's own production, whereas the rest is exported to the European Union and Russia.

Nectar owns strawberry plantations covering a surface area of 10 hectares, which are also among the largest in Serbia, as well as plantations of other fruits such as apple, peach, apricot, pear, which are all directly processed into Life 100% juices and Nectar Family nectars.
