Serbia's energy sector more and more interesting to Russian investors

- Russian companies are interested in procurement of Mining-Smeltery Basin "Bor", Petroleum Industry of Serbia, "Prva petoletka" from Trstenik and gas storage house in Banatski Dvor - said the Head of Russian Trade Office in Belgrade Andrej Hripunov.
- "Sojuzmetal resources" (SMR) is waiting for the results of the tender for privatization of Mining Smeltery Basin Bor, whereas one Russian consortium, which already cooperates with "Prva petoletka", gave offer for procurement of that factory - said Hripunov.
He added that the Russians were interested in purchase of gas storage house in Banatski Dvor, and, as far as south branch of gas system that would lead to Bulgarian border is cocncerned, Russian-Serbian memorandum on realization of that project would be signed by the end of year 2006.
- "Lukoil", which bought Belgrade-based "Beopetrol" earlier, and Russian energy giant "Rosnjenf" are potential buyers of NIS, but it is still not known when the tender for sale of that public company will be announced and under what conditions - said Hripunov.
