Company "Henkel" breaks records - net profit in third quarter of 2006 reached amount of 217m EUR

in the third quarter of year 2006, the net profit of company "Henkel" increased by 9%, to the amount of 217m EUR, while the operative profit increased by 7%, to the amount of 321m EUR.

The sales reached amount of 3,260m EUR and increased by 3.8% against the same period in 2005.

The sale of "Henkel's" most popular products for laundry, such as "Persil" and "Silan", registered two-digit growth. Also, the successful sale of "Henkel" detergents for dish washing in machines, especially detergent "Somat 5", has been continued.

In the domain of cosmetics, sales increased by 9.1% against the same period last year, to 742m EUR. Special success was realized in the domain of sale of hair preparations, especially "Palette" brand.

In the region of East Europe, significant growth has been registered in the domain of sale of building glues, especially thanks to the excellent cooperation with regional partners, as well as in the domain of sale of detergents for dish washing.
