Telecommunication fair "Telfor 2006" opened in Belgrade

The participants in Telecommunication forum "Telfor 2006", which was officially opened in Sava Center, will, in the next three days, present the latest achievements in the field of telecommunications.

Upon the opening, Petrović said that the development of the information-telecommunication systems (ITC) contributed to the development of the entire economy of the country and the improvement of the citizens' living standard.

According to his opinion, the telecommunication sector in Serbia has been developing a bit slower in the last decade than in the surrounding countries. However, during the last five years, we have managed to makup up that, mostly thanks to introduction of new telecommunication technologies into the networks for transportation and access to information.

The theme of this-year meeting of "Telflor" is Education of Electric Engineers. The organizers of the meeting are PTT "Srbija", "Telekom Srbija", Company for Telecomunications and Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Belgrade.
