Delamode completes acquisition of John Shirley Limited

International logistics and freight forwarding provider Delamode has completed the acquisition of John Shirley Limited, a specialist freight forwarder for the West Balkan regions. Operating from Dover, John Shirley Limited is uniquely experienced in handling the transportation of freight between the UK and every Balkan country. During this period the company has established itself as a trusted and expert freight forwarder for these markets, Delamode Balkans said in a release.

The acquisition is the latest in a number of strategic initiatives from the Delamode Group of Companies and represents a significant contribution towards the company's acquisition and organic growth plans within the West Balkan regions.

Currently, Delamode has established operations in 9 countries (Bulgaria, Estonia, Hungary, Lithuanian, Moldova, Romania, Serbia and the UK) and has more recently begun operating in Montenegro. Plans are also in place to extend further its presence within the West Balkans through the opening of offices in Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Albania, completing a strong and robust West Balkans network.

As a result of the integration John Shirley Limited’s customers’ will benefit from the availability of the broad range of services offered by the Delamode Group of companies, the release reads.
