Leading Russian company for production of electro-installation materials, Wessen, and Metalka Majur closer and closer to ownership and technological partnership

During his travel across Russia and former Soviet republics, Mr. Zlatko Šćepanović, executive manager of Metalka Majur, and Mr. Rade Radulović, the Manager of Metalka's export company Metalka Exim, met in Moscow in November 2006 with the head people of Russian company Wessen (www.wessen.ru). On the initiative of Wessen, the talks commenced in October in Belgrade and continued in Moscow. The subject of the talks were possibilities of mutual ownership and technological partnership.

According to the words of Mr. Šćepanović, the Executive Manager of Metalka Majur, Wessen expressed strong interest in partnership with Metalka Majur, especially in the domain of knowledge and technology transfer. Although Wessen, as Russian leading company, is nearly 3 times bigger than Metalka Majur, Russian partners were especially motivated to obtain know-how that Metalka Majur can offer them in the domain of European quality standards and certificates, which Russian partner does not have yet, whereas Metalka Majur owns them for few years now. Highly trained personnel of Metalka Majur, modern laboratory and intelligent technical solutions, the quality of products and constant innovations that make Metalka Majur recognizable in the region attracted the attention of Wessen and gave motive for the commencement of negotiations.

As the first result of the talks, the works on the design of technical solutions for Wessen's box line have been taken into consideration, as well as testing and evaluation of Wessen's new product line by Metalka's laboratory and the possibility that Wessen starts distribution of one of the programs of Metalka Majur in Russia.
