Serbian MP's yesterday adopted amendments to the Public Property Law stipulating that the deadline for public companies, capital ventures and their subsidiaries to file their requests for property registration be extended for another year.

The government proposed changes to that law because the original two-year term expired Sunday and a large number of companies have not yet submitted a request for the registration of property rights.

A total of 131 MP's from the ruling coalition voted in favor of these amendments to the Public Property Law, while 15 MP's from opposition parties were against.
