Serbian Railways gets permit to reconstruct railroad to Pancevo - EUR 60 million earmarked for rehabilitation of this stretch

The Ministry of Construction and Town Planning yesterday issued a building permit to Serbian Railways for the reconstruction and modernization of the Pancevo Bridge - Pancevo Glavna railroad that will be financed with the proceeds of a Russian loan.

About EUR 60 million will be set aside for the modernization of the Pancevo Bridge - Pancevo Glavna railroad from the Russian state loan totaling USD 800 million.

Thanks to good cooperation between Serbian Railways and the Transportation Ministry, and with full assistance and support from that ministry, Serbia has secured 15 percent of the loan amount.

As people at Serbian Railways announced, all conditions are thus met to begin the modernization of the Pancevo Bridge-Pancevo Glavna railroad in the nearest future.
