Talks with Turks about Djerdap 3 hydroelectric power station and Stavalj steam power plant

Delegation of Turkey's Besa Elektrik spoke Thursday with the representatives of the Ministry of Energy, Development and Environmental Protection about the possibility of investing in large power plants in Serbia.

The two sides focused on the technical characteristics of Djerdap 3 hydroelectric power station and Stavalj steam power plant and financial models for building these two power generation facilities, it was announced on the website of the ministry.

The delegation of the Turkish company was also introduced to the priority projects in Serbia's energy sector.

Dejan Novakovic, state secretary in the Energy Ministry, talked with the members of the Turkish delegation about announced amendments to the Waste Management Law that will, among other things, allow for greater use of ash from landfills as a raw material in the construction industry.
