Indian businessman Subrata Roy coming to Serbia - Building biggest tourist complex ever in Macedonia and "eyeing" agriculture in Serbia

Indian businessman Subrata Roy announced Wednesday that he would visit Serbia in 2014 to assess investment opportunities in Serbia's economy sector.

Subrata Roy, the founder and owner of Sahara India Pariwar, is currently staying in Macedonia, where he has started implementing investments in agriculture and announced the construction of a luxury tourist complex near Lake Ohrid.

As Roy told eKapija, he has not yet observed Serbia as an investment destination, but he plans to assess investment opportunities next year, especially in the agricultural industry. The Indian businessman pointed out that it was very important for him to receive support from the government and local self-governments in the country he was investing in.

He stressed that Macedonia was the first country in the Balkans he would invest in. Roy has already visited Greece, while his team is going to tour the Croatian coast in November.

Roy noted that his company would invest EUR 211 million in the construction of a modern dairy plant within Dzumajlija Agricultural Combine in Macedonia that would export milk and dairy products to Balkan countries as well as the countries in the Middle East and northern Africa.

By the way, Subrata Roy is the CEO of Sahara India Pariwar that is about to launch the implementation of the largest investment ever in Macedonia - tourist complex near the Ljubaniste camp in the vicinity of Lake Ohrid.
