Talks between Serbia and the IMF to start on 1 October at the NBS

Talks with the mission from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will begin with a plenary session at the National Bank of Serbia (NBS).

As announced by the central bank, the Serbian delegation will be led by NBS Governor Jorgovanka Tabakovic and Finance Minister Lazar Krstic.

During the IMF visit to Belgrade which will last until the 7 October 2013, recent macroeconomic trends and the reform programme will be discussed, together with 2014 budget preparation and long-term fiscal strategies.

Further discussions will cover the realisation of this year`s budget, monetary policy, public debt trends, structural reforms and reforms in the pension system and labour market.
