(Aleksandar Vucic)Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic announced that privatization of 'Zvezda' and 'Partizan' is the only chance for their survival, adding that finalization of the procedure should be expected in one year's time.
-Within a year, to have it finished for the next season, Vucic said in a talk show 'Teska rec' when speaking of privatization of the two clubs.
He pointed out that the Arabs don't want to take neither 'Zvezda' nor 'Partizan', because they think they are in a very bad situation.
-Unfortunately, they are not interested, but that doesn't mean someone else won't be. We have to finish that, Vucic said adding that there are other interested parties.
Regarding the fact that the teams' supporters didn't accept the privatization news well, Vucic said that people don't have concrete insight into that.
-This is neither social nor state owned company. We are talking about citizens associations, whose policy is that it should get some money from the state without ever paying anything to the state, to make bad business, be in debts of between 30 to 50 million EUR and to be worthless for the state, said Vucic.
-If someone thinks that the state will give money forever, and that they could spend it the way they want, being richer, and the clubs being poorer, this is no longer possible and no one will continue to support that, said Vucic.
