Gas price will not be changed in October because there are no conditions for this, said Dusan Dakovic from the PR service of the Energy Agency of Serbia.

Dakovic told Tanjug news agency that the price of gas would not be either increased or decreased in October because the parameters monitored showed that none of the requirements was met.

Gas price changes at the supplier's request, but no such request has come from Srbijagas because there has been no change in the purchase price of gas.

People at the Energy Ministry said to Tanjug that there were indications that gas price would go down by the year's end, adding that all decisions on the price were made by the Energy Agency.

This year gas price was increased on September 1st by 4.4 percent for households and by 6 percent for the economy, after which few heating plants announced they would increase the price of heating.

However, the national broadcasting corporation of Serbia (RTS) announced Saturday morning (20 September 2013) that the price of gas would be decreased in October.
