Construction of "Sloboda" - new factory of company "Yumco" - commences in February 2007, jobs for 3,000 textile workers

The manager and the owner of British textile company "Alena Limited", Jani Salas, said in Vranje that the construction of brand new "Yumco's" textile factory "Sloboda" would commence in February 2007 and that its completion was expected in October 2007.

The new factory will employ 3,000 workers who will make clothing pieces for the needs of European market.

Salas reminded to the contract that he signed at the end of October 2006 in Belgrade with the general manager of "Yumco", Milan Kljajić, in which he obliged to invest in the new production unit in Vranje.

Besides, he expressed his gratitude to Serbia, because it enabled him to obtain 6m EUR from the National Investment Plan for creation of new jobs, that is, 2,000 EUR per employee.

The aim of Salas is to give the jobs to the young in his company that will be called "Zambar" and will be the most modern in the Balkans. The main market for the products made in that unit will be Russia and Serbia.
