Belarusian airline Belavia established a regular service between Minsk and Belgrade via Budapest on Thursday (19 September 2013).

As it was announced, Belavia will operate two flights a week between the two capitals, on Monday and Thursday, using CRJ-100/200 aircraft.

Passengers on the first flight from Belarus were welcomed at Nikola Tesla Airport in Belgrade by Serbian Transportation Minister Aleksandar Antic, Director of the Serbian Civil Aviation Directorate Milan Zivanovic, Belarusian Ambassador to Serbia Vladimir Chusev, and Serbian MP Dragomir Karic.

Belavia Deputy CEO Igor Cerginec said they expected the new service connecting three European capitals to be used by both businessmen and tourists.

Belavia operates flights from Minsk to 42 destinations in Europe and Asia.
