India's Sahara India Pariwar is about to start investing in the Balkans. The first investment will be made in Macedonia, where a luxury tourist complex worth about EUR 200 million will be built in the vicinity of Lake Ohrid.
As the company announced in a release, it will foreshadow its investment in Macedonia by organizing Sahara Balkan Peace Festival, a two-day event dedicated to the preservation of peace in the world. The festival will be held October 1st and 2nd in Skopje in the presence of 50 world-famous people, former presidents, prime ministers, influential ambassadors, Hollywood stars who have founded or own humanitarian foundations, as well as the representatives of Balkan countries (including Serbia).
- Peace and non-violence are part of the Sahara Group's core philosophy. In order to contribute to peace and non-violence in the region where war scars are still fresh, the group will organize Sahara Balkan Peace Festival. The aim is to bring all Balkan countries together in the fight for world peace. This year's festival will be held in Macedonia. However, the plan is to have this event hosted by a different Balkan country every year - the release reads.
It is added in the release that a mixed group of famous singers will be singing the Hymn to Global Peace on the opening day of the event. The official program of the festival and the list of official guests will be published within the next few days.
Sahara India Pariwar is a large business conglomerate that is active in several sectors, including financial services, life insurance, mutual funds, housing finance, infrastructure and residential development, print media and TV, film production, production of consumer goods, health care, hospitality, production, sports, and information technologies.
