Regional economic networking as a "magnet" for huge investments - another conference of "Ekonomist media group" held

The representatives of former Yugoslav republics unanimously agreed at yesterday's (November 14, 2006) opening of the conference "Regional Economic Networking on the Territories of Former Yugoslavia: Necessity or an Option" that the regional networking was the necessity. This conference, organized by "Ekonomist media group", was held in hotel "Hyatt".

- Regional economic networking and creation of free market in Southeast Europe is useful for both individual countries and the entire region - Minister of Economy in the Government of Serbia, Predrag Bubalo, started his introductory debate with these words and added that the bigger market should attract bigger investments and that "greenfield" investments of big world companies could be expected only on such market.

- Economic opening of the country is useful to the investors due to bigger market, it is useful to the unemployed due to larger selection and better paid jobs, and it is useful to the country because it increases its competitivity - said Bubalo.

Minister of Economy of Montenegro, Branimir Gvozdenović, said that the policy should less interfere with the business, although coordination of these two sphere can contribute to better results.

- Government of Montenegro and "Delta Holding" have signed the contract on job worth 60m EUR. Thanks to good communication, we have created the system that will employ 1,000 people - said Gvozdenović and added that, concerning the fact that Montenegro was not big, that country "sees European integrations as its way out".

Of similar opinion is Zoran Manevski, the Secretary of the Ministry of Economy of Macedonia, which pointed out that CEFTA agreement, which was signed on November 9, 2006, would be finally signed in December.
