Representatives of one of the largest conglomerates in Turkey, the Dous Group, are staying in Belgrade. They are interested in investing in the construction industry, hotel development, infrastructure and energy sector in Serbia and its capital city.

Our most important projects in the past five years and further development plans were presented today at the Dous Group's meeting with City Manager Aleksandar Bijelic and City Architect Dejan Vasovic.

Guests were introduced to six attractive locations for investment - blocks 18, 42 and 43, Zeleni Venac, Jugopetrol, Depot in Kralja Aleksandra Boulevard, and Ovca spa resort.

The total value of the financial assets of the Dous Group is USD 118 billion. This group comprises 180 companies that employ 35,000 people in 13 countries. It also owns a large number of hotels and shopping malls, the biggest chain of marinas in the eastern Mediterranean and the Adriatic Sea, and it is both investor and developer in the real estate sector. The Dous Group ranks extremely high in the energy sector, focusing on renewables. It is also one of the leading players in the construction market as it is very active in large infrastructure projects. So far, it has implemented 170 projects worth USD 12 billion (dams, hydroelectric power stations, highways, main routes, tunnels, bridges and viaducts, facilities, buildings). They are currently working on seven projects worth a total of USD 2.7 billion.

This meeting was also attended by Tatjana Popovic, acting director of the Building Land and Development Directorate of Belgrade.
