International company "Tarkett" has finished the takeover of the factory of floor covers "Sintelon" in Bačka Palanka for nearly 45m EUR.

By purchasing additional 21.1% of stocks of Palanka-based factory, company "Tarkett", which is among three biggest in the world in production of floor covers, became the owner of 64.3% of "Sintelon".

Those who knows economic situation in this part of Bačka better say that this represents the final phase in the process of additional capitalization of the company from Bačka Palanka, which used to be the biggest manufacturer of floor covers on the territory of former Yugoslavia, as well as in the Balkans and Southeast Europe, for decades.

Cooperation between "Tarkett" and Palanka-based company commenced in 2002 when the joint factory of PVC floors - linoleum was built here. It was followed by the construction of factory of multilayer parquet floor, in which more than 20m EUR was invested.
