NIS, EPS and "Delta holding" on the top of TOP 300 list of "Ekonomist magazin"

On the top of the TOP 300 list of the most successful enterprises in Serbia in 2005, according to the realized income, represented by "Ekonomist magazin", are Petroleum Industry of Serbia (NIS), Electric Power Company of Serbia, "Delta holding", "Telekom Srbije" and "U.S Steel Srbija".

They are followed by "Rodić MB", HIP Petrohemija, Srbijagas, "Swisslion Takovo" and "Serbian Railways".

NIS is on the first place with the realized income of about 251 billion RSD (about 3 billion EUR). It is followed by EPS with 91 billion RSD, whereas the third is "Delta holding" with 68.4 billion RSD worth of realized income.

The Minister of Economy, Predrag Bubalo, expressed his satisfaction with the fact that the list of TOP 300 most successful companies includes some privatized companies that used to be on the list for restructuring.

According to the words of the manager of auditing company "KPMG" of James Thornley, the significant progress on the list have been realized, in addition to the privatized companies, by the group of holding companies, as well as local private strong companies, such as "Sintelon", "Tigar", "Victoria group", "Comtrade group", "Sojaprotein", "TV Pink"...

Vice President of "Delta holding", Milka Forcan, announced big business undertakings of "Delta" in the next two years. In accordance with the mid-term aim to become the regional leader, the company plans to invest more than 400m EUR within the next two years.

Forcan added that "Delta" would focus on the development of retail sale, agriculture, as well as procurement of location and construction of big trade centers. The first will be opened in Podgorica and the next one will be opened in Belgrade in September 2007. It is the facility of 80,000 square meters, the first of the kind in the Balkans.
