Mercedes finally in Serbia - German giant enters into strategic partnership with Belgrade-based Ikarbus

Mercedes will enter into strategic partnership with Belgrade-based Ikarbus with the help of the Serbian government, Mercedes Benz Serbia Director Rolf-Juergen Seyerle said at Frankfurt Motor Show.

This partnership will require from Ikarbus to make superstructures for Mercedes buses not only for the market of Serbia, but also for third markets.

As the national broadcasting corporation RTS announced, Mercedes is still considering possible forms of cooperation with the truck factory in Priboj.

That would be the second large foreign company to come to Serbia, and the cooperation with Mercedes Benz would provide a long-term solution to the problem of the shortage of buses for both city and intercity transport services.
