Tvornica Duvana Rovinj opens factory in Iran

Tvornica Duvana Rovinj (Rovinj Tobacco Plant - TDR) has opened a factory in Iran, thus expanding its business to the market of southwest Asia. The new factory was today opened by Chairman of the TDR Managing Board Mato Zadro.
TDR built the factory in Sari, the provincial capital Mazandaran, in cooperation with Iran's leading tobacco manufacturer Iranian Tobacco Company. This investment is valued at EUR 30 million, and the capacity of the new factory is 6 billion cigarettes a year.
- With this investment, TDR has additionally strengthened its position as one of the leading Croatian exporters and expanded its operations to the challenging market of southwest Asia. TDR exports its products to a total of 15 markets with its sales abroad accounting for over 60 percent of overall sales. TDR products are exported to all regional countries as well as Germany, Czech Republic, Italy, Spain, Austria, the United Arab Emirates, Bulgaria, and Russia - TDR said in a release.
