New quality control system in Actavis

Pharmaceutical company Actavis, a part of which is Leskovac-based pharmaceutical plant Zdravlje, has launched a new integrated Global Quality Management System that ensures the world's highest standards of medicine production.

This system incorporates best practices from previous independent systems of companies Watson and Actavis, which were successfully approved and developed during regular checks and certifications performed by the most prominent regulatory institutions worldwide. Merger of these two companies that today operate under the name of Actavis resulted in the formation of the the third largest medicine manufacturer in the world, Actavis said in a release.

The new integrated Quality Management System (QMS) in Actavis, which has been created by a strong global team of experts on quality management, including employees in Serbia, ensures a complete harmonization of procedures and processes as well as resources for the top quality, safety and efficiency of Actavis products.
