Belgrade-based air transportation company "Centavia" announced that it had stopped work due to bad market conditions and non-liberalized policy in field of air transportation.
Zagreb's and Podgorica's refusal to allow that Serbian company to fly to these cities, due to unsettled relations, is just one of the reasons why Centavia ceased its operations and returned airplanes to English registry.
Centavia obtained the flying license from the Directorate for Civil Aviation of Serbia in July 2006 and, in cooperation with the travel agencies, it was transporting passengers on charter flights to Egypt, Turkey, Spain and Greece last summer and it should have introduced regular flights to Podgorica and Zagreb this autumn, but these flights have not been approved.
