European Fund for Southeast Europe (EFSE) officially put into operation in Serbia

This Fund provides support to the economic development of small and mid-sized enterprises, farmers and households. On the basis of the information provided by the Head of EFSE, Klaus Maurer, this Fund paid loans in total amount of 42m EUR in Serbia from the beginning of 2006.

Prior to the end of year 2006, this amount could be increased by another 10m EUR of paid loans. The scope of EFSE's fund should amount to total of 500m EUR in the next five years. During these five years, about 120,000 small and mid-sized enterprises can count on EFSE's loans.
