"Mobilkom Austria" still waits for area code for its network in Serbia - possible area codes are 061, 066, 067, 068 and 069

Company "Mobilkom Austria", which became the third mobile operator in Serbia few days ago, still has no area codes.

According to the tender terms for the allotment of the third license for mobile telephony, the winner on the tender is supposed to get two area codes - 06H and 06Y.

- We have entered the procedure for allotment of area codes for the new license. We have many numbers to choose from, since Serbia, after Montenegro separated, got all numbers that start with 06 - says Jovan Radunović, the Head of the Administrative Board of the Republic Telecommunication Agency.

The two existing operators took two area codes each - "Telenor" owns 062 and 063, while "Mobile Telephony of Serbia" uses 064 and 065.

Free area codes are 061, 066, 067, 068 and 069. According to the procedure, the experts of RATEL will show these numbers to the Austrians who will then choose the ones that suit them the best.
