The owners of boats, speedboats and yachts in Belgrade who now buy fuel at gas stations around the city and then carry it in canisters to their vessels will be able to tank up on the Danube River as of March 2014.

By then the first floating fuel station should have been opened at the Zemun Quay, in the vicinity of Jugoslavija Hotel.

Although lying on two rivers, Belgrade still has no fuel station that would make it possible for sportboat owners to fill the tank while on river.

By the way, NIS has begun the process of acquiring a permit to set up this facility for supplying recreational vessels on the Danube with fuel. The floating fuel station will be put in operation shortly before the start of the boating season, in March 2014. The future station will have a capacity of 60,000 liters.
