Terzica Avlija folk park in Uzice`s village of Zlakusa is a real holiday paradise with all the scents and flavors that take guests back to the time when they spent their summer school holidays in the countryside.
This typical rural household from the early 20th century, which is comprised of two old homesteads, old well with drinking water, farm, dairy, inn, recently reconstructed outbuilding, weaving and pottery workshops, as well as a replica of a classroom from the World War II, will make visitors feel as if they stepped back in time.
The oldest house on the Terzic family's estate originates from 1906, and it is a place where Gvozden Terzic`s family spent their days in the early 20th century.
Gvozden`s great-grandson Sasa Drndarevic has been renovating his neglected family estate since 2000. It is worth mentioning that every piece of furniture in this complex is authentic.
- When Terzica Avlija was opened in 2005, this house was supposed to accommodate tourists, but it now belongs to the museum part of this complex – the owner of this rural household says in a talk with eKapija.
Right next to this house is a so-called guest house that was built of baked brick in 1925 and served as a place where the Terzic family had been celebrating their slava for years.
Terzica Avlija won the Tourist Flower Award for the season 2007-2008 as the most successful rural tourist facility in Serbia.
Bed&breakfast at this complex costs RSD 1,300 per person, while the price for a suite for six people is RSD 5,000 per night.
