Distrubution center of company "Metro" opened in Niš as well

The Head of the Administrative Board of "Metro" in Serbia, Damir Firšt, and the Mayor of Niš, Smiljko Kostić, opened the distribution center "Metro - Cash and carry" yesterday (November 8, 2006). This center worth 16m EUR will employ 200 people.

The wholesale center is 9,900 square meters big, it has parking lot with 460 parking places and with 30,000 articles of renowned world manufacturers. Firšt said that the products of domestic manufacturers participate with 70% in the food sector, whereas that percentage is smaller in the other sectors. The company offers the chance to the domestic manufacturers to export their products through "Metro" chain into 28 world countries in which it opened its distribution centers.
