Serbian cherries to travel to Chicago

Agricultural combine "Porečje" from Vučje exported 20 tons of frozen "Oblačin" cherry to America and the export of another 100 tons of that fruit is in the pipeline.

The goods have been exported to the territory of Chicago. The entire this-year quantity of frozen "Oblačin" cherry without pit, about 1,300 tons, was sold to Germany, England, Netherlands and Italy.

- We signed contract on export of trial quantity of 20 tons with the Americans at the Food Fair "Sial" in Paris and then the contract for another 100 tons followed - said commercial manager of "Porečje" Žika Cvetković.
