Nestle invests EUR 50 million in pizza plant in Germany

Nestle opened a new production facility worth EUR 50 million within its frozen pizza plant Wagner in Germany on Tuesday (20 August 2013).

Nestle's investment in this plant situated in the German town of Nonnweiler will boost the production of Wagner products, including brands Big Pizza, Piccolinis and Die Backfrische. The plant currently employs 50 workers.

- This is the most advanced frozen pizza production line in Europe - Werner Bauer, executive director of technology operations at Nestle, said at the opening ceremony.
