- International oil company MOL is interested in participation in the privatization of Petroleum Industry of Serbia (NIS) due to potentials of its refineries and their position on the market in the region - said the manager of MOL for strategy and development Lajoš Alač.
He said that that company was ready to modernize Serbian refineries, pointing out that the postponement of privatization of NIS should not have impact on the interests of the strategic partners.
Alač is of the opinion that the demand for oil derivatives in the region would grow in the future and that the refineries in Pančevo and Novi Sad, due to geographic position, could take the big share of that market.
Cancellation of the Regulation on ban on import of derivatives and introduction of duties in Serbia is seen by Alač as the beginning of the liberalization of the market.
