Night shift on Corridor XI construction site

On a Corridor XI construction site, on the stretch between Ljig and Pozega, the night shift has been introduced because of short deadlines, the national broadcasting corporation RTS reported Sunday.
The highway from Ljig to Pozega should be completed in 2016, and one of the most important and most demanding sections is the 40-kilometer stretch between Ljig and Gornji Milanovac that is being built by Azerbaijan's Azvirt on the basis of a EUR 308 million loan from the Azerbaijani government.
For the work on this section, Azvirt hired Belgrade-based companies Energoprojekt and Planum as subcontractors.
- We work 24 hours a day with the work in the night shift being more intensive than in the day shift. There is less crowd and people are used to working at night - said Zoran Kovacevic, the head of Energoprojekt's construction site.
This stretch will feature five tunnels, 78 bridges, and it is to be completed 25 August 2016.
