Zdravlje Actavis opens another production facility in Leskovac - New drug for Parkinson's disease soon in Serbia and Australia

Zdravlje Actavis has successfully implemented another investment project worth EUR 3.7 million that involves the opening of a new facility for producing drugs used in the therapy against Parkinson's disease.

On that occasion, Zdravlje Actavis CEO Bojan Jovic stated that the production facility covered an area of about 1,000 square meters and was completely designed and equipped in line with specific requirements for the production of these drugs which will be exclusively produced at Zdravlje for all Actavis' markets worldwide.

After local and international regulatory bodies give the green light, the first batch of these drugs will be offered to the markets of Serbia and Australia.

The installed annual capacity of the new facility is 50 million pills of this new product in the Actavis portfolio, but this capacity can be substantially increased if the market demand grows bigger.

This year Zdravlje Actavis celebrates the 60th anniversary of its establishment and the 10th anniversary of being an integral part of the Actavis Group.
