Hyundai may invest USD 400 million in Serbia

Hyundai representatives pointed out at a meeting with Serbian Prime Minister Ivica DAcic on August 16th that that South Korean company was ready to invest about USD 400 million in the construction of a municipal waste treatment plant in Serbia as well as to finance the construction of a factory for producing waste treatment equipment.
According to the press service of the Serbian government, Hyundai is also interested in working with the government in the agricultural industry, especially in healthy food production and vegetable processing.
Dacic stressed that Serbia was open to foreign investments that helped the development of economy.
- Improving the economy and hiring your people are the most important tasks of the Serbian government - Dacic said in a talk with Hyundai representatives.
Hyundai is the world's fifth largest car maker, and it has showrooms and repair centers in Serbia since 2002.
