IMT starts exporting tractors to Kazakhstan

IMT started exporting tractors to Kazakhstan on Thursday (15 August 2013). Three trucks loaded with tractors set out on a journey 5,000 kilometers long, which could be the first sign that better days are coming for this fallen giant.
After a collapse that the factory was facing, much energy was needed to restart production. Six months ago production was halted, and today this company makes 90 tractors a month.
These tractors may not look too modern, but they can be maintained even by some hastily trained mechanic somewhere in an African jungle or a desert in Central Asia. When built well, they are very reliable.
- IMT tractors are now exported to Kazakhstan, but the demand for them also exists in Macedonia, Ecuador, Africa... We now want to export a model equipped with a Perkins engine to European countries - says Milorad Pavlovic, chairman of the IMT Managing Board.
