Natural gas public supply price increase approved

The Council of the Republic of Serbia's Energy Agency has given the green light to 33 public suppliers to increase in the price of gas for , the Agency said in a release.

Natural gas public supply price (exclusive of VAT) will be averagely increased by 4.4 percent (to RSD 46.3/m3) for all households in Serbia and by 5.7 percent (to RSD 42.9/m3) for all consumers connected to distribution systems.

New prices of natural gas will be effective as of September 1st.

This price change is a result of a 6.4 percent increase in the purchase price of natural gas at which Srbijagas (as the designated supplier) sells this fuel to licensed public suppliers, the release reads.

Public suppliers sell natural gas at different prices due to different costs of the use of distribution systems they incur.
