Jagodina seeks investors for construction projects on Greek coast

Jagodina Mayor Dragan Markovic said Tuesday that he would seek investors in late 2013 or early 2014 for construction projects at the part of the Greek coast that Jagodina had received as a gift.

Markovic noted he was going to meet with the mayor of Chrysoupoli in Greece, who would present the Master Plan for the land given as a gift to Jagodina.

- He will bring the Master Plan and designs to give us a clue what can be built in the location where Jagodina obtained two hectares of land at the seaside - Markovic announced at a press conference on the occasion of the departure of Jagodina's business and political delegation to Greece.

As it was announced before, Mayor of the Greek sister municipality Chrysoupoli Savas Michalidis officially handed over two hectares of land to Jagodina last year, during the visit of Markovic and Jagodina's business delegation to that city, while Jagodina donated a land in the local industrial zone to Chrysoupoli in 2008.

A 100-member business and political delegation of Jagodina will be staying in the Greek town of Katherini between August 15 and 19.

- We will have a meeting with the mayor of Katherini, representatives of the Chamber of Commerce, businessmen from that region, and mayors of Jagodina's sister municipalities and cities - Markovic announced.

He also announced that a business delegation of Jagodina would travel to Bari in late September to visit Italy's kitchen furniture manufacturer Turi that is going to build a factory in Jagodina.

The fudning for all these trips are again provided by donors.
