Toyota recalls 370,000 trucks

Japanese carmaker Toyota announced it would recall 370,000 Tacoma pickup trucks, mainly in the USA, for potentially faulty seat belts. The seat belts’ screws could loosen over time as a result of frequent door slamming.

Most of the trucks will be recalled in the USA - 342,000 of them, 27,000 trucks will be recalled in Canada and 60 in Germany. This applies to the vehicles produced in the period 2004-2011.

As Toyota said, owners of the affected vehicles will not have to bear the repair costs.
