Belgrade to get another bridge on the Sava River

Serbian Construction Minister Velimir Ilic said today that the same bridge as the Ada Bridge would be built near Baric, as part of Corridor XI.

He explained to TV Pink that an Invitation to Bid would be issued over the next few days for two concessions on Corridor XI - the area around the Zemun-Borca Bridge and a highway section from Preljina to Pozega.

- The Ada Bridge was supposed to be a part of the highway project on the right bank of the Sava River, but the highway was moved to the left bank five years ago, so that the Ada Bridge is now completely out of the game. A new bridge of the same profile will be built near Baric and opened to traffic from Surcin. It will have the same interchange as the Ada Bridge - Ilic explained.
