German Stihl opens company in Serbia

German company for production of motor saws and grass mowing devices, Stihl, started operations in Serbia where it will manage sales and service activities in Serbia and Montenegro from, the Delegation of the German Economy in Serbia has announced today.
The director of the newly-set Stihl company in Serbia, Dijana Peskir, said that so far the company has been present at the Serbian market through distributors but that it decided to set up the Belgrade-based company which was selected as the central sales and distribution place for Serbia and Montenegro.
- Current interest in our numerous products in Serbia and region featured by first of all quality and innovation is constantly increasing and we expect to upgrade our business here with direct presence at the Serbian market.This will enable our partners and end users constant availability of our products and overall after sales service through quality service network will will soon expand - Dijana Peskir said.
Stihl, as it has been said, became a new member of the German-Serbian economy association (DSW) – one of the biggest bilateral associations in the country.
The shareholder company, Stihl Holding AG & Co. KG, employsover 12.300 people and generates business turnover of almost EUR 2, 8 billion.
