Construction of Hilton at full steam - Old Podgorica-based Crna Gora hotel torn down

The Crna Gora hotel was torn down last night at 8 pm within the works on the new Hilton hotel. The dust which appeared after demolishing spread almost to the whole Ulica Slobode street and the crossroads at the hotel in the center of Podgorica.
Many citizens who were near the site wanted to take a shot of the old hotel being torn down.
Normal company, owned by Zarko Buric, is building the Hilton hotel.
Upon laying the cornerstone for the new hotel in 2011, Buric said there will be some changes at the interior of the Crna Gora hotel but that it will remain recognizable.
- We are obliged to preserve the spirit of the Crna Gora hotel which was the symbol of Podgorica – Buric then said.
He added that there is a sufficient interest of guests but that Montenegro lacks good hotels, both at the seaside and in city centers and the continental part.
The Crna Gora hotel has been considered foryears to be the cult spot for meeting of a large number of Podgorica people.
According to the project, the Hilton Podgorica Montenegro will have nine congress halls, 197 rooms, 23 suites with lunch bar, a president suite, a restaurant, an aperitif bar, wellness center and a spa block within indoor swimming pool.
