Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic and US Ambassador to Belgrade Michael Kirby came to a conclusion at their meeting on August 7th that bilateral relations between Serbia and the United States of America were on a rise. They particularly pointed to the growth of economic cooperation between the two countries. Serbia's exports to the USA grew 70 percent in the first quarter of this year. Investment inflow from the USA is expected this year, especially in the field of information technologies, the Serbian government said in a release.
Prime Minister Davic stressed that the Serbian government was determined to continue dialogue with Pristina in Brussels, but he expressed concern about the endeavors of task forces from Pristina to disavow the implementation of agreement related to the organization of local elections in Kosovo-Metohia.
- The problem is that, contrary to the Brussels agreement, members of the Pristina team are trying to evade the principle of status neutrality, thus jeopardizing the whole process of implementation of the agreement signed in Brussels - Dacic warned in a talk with US Ambassador to Belgrade Michael Kirby.
