Dane Kondic, director of Air Serbia - Biography

Born in Sydney and living in Australia, but being originally from the Republic of Srpska, Dane Kondic is the first director of Serbia's new flag carrier Air Serbia.

Kondic was business development manager at Australia's Quantas in the late nineties, and he also worked at Maysia Airlines for 3.5 years.

Over the last year he has been serving as regional director for southeast Asia at Sabre Airline Solutions. Before that, he was Abacus International commercial vice president in Asia.

He also worked at GTA, part of Travelport, and China's Kuoni Travel.

Kondic, who is known in international business circles as Deni Kondic, is a child of Serbian emigrants from Kozara, the Republic of Srpska.

He speaks Serbian and has both Australian and Serbian citizenship.

Kondic will officially take the helm of Air Serbia in October.
