Greece starts selling islands - Spalatronisi to be put up for sale first

Spalatronisi Island in the Chalkidiki region in the north of Greece should be the first Greek island to be put up for sale, the Greek daily newspaper Kathimerini has reported.
Auction is scheduled for September, and it is expected that the starting price for this island, which is situated in the vicinity of the famous summer resort Neos Marmaras, will be set to EUR 10 million.
The sale of this island was announced by the owner of the Miro Antiks Haus agency Stavros Mironidis at yesterday's press conference, who also said that the forthcoming auction had already attracted attention of bot local and international buyers.
