BOGICEVIC: Farmakom's debt relatively small

(Miroslav Bogicevic)
Farmakom currently claims RSD 142 million from the state. When this figure is subtracted from the company debt, the resulting value is relatively small, but the damage to the company is big, its owner Miroslav Bogicevic said in a comment on the fact that Farmakom is among the companies that don't pay taxes and contributions.
Bogicevic said in an interview with Novi Magazin that Farmakom had so far paid EUR 72 million in taxes and contributions to the state, EUR 90 million in wages to its workers, and EUR 130 million in interests to banks.
He noted that Farmakom had attracted EUR 380 milllion investment in loans from foreign banks, adding that the value of company's outstanding export contracts was at EUR 450 million at the moment.
- This is a serious production company, and I simply think that it is not fair that the state's behaves towards us as it does, especially considering that the state owes us some money - he said.
As far as debts are concerned, Bogicevic stressed that Farmakom had not paid only the taxes in 2013.
- We have no debts from the previous year - he explained.
Bogicevic reiterated that Farmakom's investment in Serbia totaled EUR 200 million, adding that that company had no offshore companies.
