Investment wave in factory "Knauf izolacija" awaken production

In factory "Knauf izolacija" in Surdulica (former "Vunizol"), the big investment process that will completely rehabilitate units of this manufacturer is in progress.

Prior to the end of July 2007, the planned investment of over 16m EUR will be realized. In the first eight months of this year, "Knauf" tripled production in comparison with the same period in 2005.

At the same time, the sale increased by nearly 350% abroad and by 41% in Serbia. In July 2006, the record was set in the production of stone wool with 1,800 tons.

Important activities related to the environment protection have already commenced, because the old line for non-impregnated wool is being dissassembled, which will reduce the number of emitters of polluting matters. At the same time, the new furnace with the filters for harmful gases is being built and the significant share of solid waste will be reduced.
