"Vršački vinogradi" sold for 5.7m EUR

The consortium made of three companies - "Vinoprodukt-Čoka" from Subotica, "Rodić" (Rodić MB Trade, Brewer MB, Rodić MB transport , Rodić MB invest) from Novi Sad and "Šećer-Shaffer" from Belgrade, bought company "Vršački vinogradi" for 5.7m EUR.

The contract on sale of 70% of assets was signed on October 26, 2006, and it includes investment program worth 11,819,430 EUR. "Vršački vinogradi" owns cellar, of which storing capacity is 34,000,000 liters, with the modern equipment for production and care of wine.

Vršac's area with vineyards has more than 2,000 ha of commercial vineyards, 1,700 ha of which are in the posession of "Vršački vinogradi".

The most important product of "Vršački vinogradi" is "Banatski rizling", which became the trademark of the company it takes 70% of total production. Lately, production of young wines, such as "Šardone" and "Vršački rizling" is very attractive.
